Curriculum
The aim of the school is to provide a broad and balanced curriculum. The school uses the Creative Curriculum which provides a holistic framework in which children are taught the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum in Reception and Nursery and the National Curriculum in Years 1 and 2. This enables children to develop intellectually, aesthetically, physically, socially, morally and spiritually.
The seven areas of study in the Early Years Foundation Stage, which lead to the achievement of the Early Learning Goals, are as follows:
- Communication and language
- Personal, social and emotional development
- Physical development
- Literacy
- Mathematics
- Understanding the world
- Expressive arts and design
In Key Stage 1, the subjects of the National Curriculum are:
- English

- Computing

- Geography
- Religious education
- Music
- Art and design
- Design and technology
- Physical education
- Personal, social, health, citizenship and economic education

The school aims to provide first-hand learning experiences in which children are self-motivated and interested, through which they will acquire basic skills and develop to their full potential.
